While the much retro-evented Jaguar D Type historic race car 'XKD 570' topped the prices at Bonhams 2021 Goodwood Revival sale (the best dressed auction of the season, by far) with a £100,000 below estimate £799,000 result, which reflected the reality of "interupted early provenance", a far more mainstream 1959 XK150SE 3.4 Drophead with upgrades, including 5-speed box, made a close to top estimate £88,550
